From the manufacturer:

The Medicus Combo Training Pack is an ideal gift for golfers at all stages of skill development. Thousands of golf pros rely on Medicus golf clubs to help them practice perfect drives, swings, and putts. Amateurs are also able to benefit from our Medicus golf training clubs just as much as professionals.

Medicus golf clubs empower the user to identify their flaws immediately, with the instant feedback of the Medicus Combo Training Pack’s patented dual hinge technology. A bad swing produces one visible result (a broken hinge) and a good swing produces another (an unbroken hinge). Imagine a player lucky enough to practice only technically perfect swings within the first few months of taking up the game. This lucky player obviously has an incredible advantage over his peers–he is fortunate enough to reinforce only good habits.

The Medicus Dual Combo Training Pack is an ideal choice for amateurs and pros that are serious about improving their game. The Medicus Combo is also an absolutely ideal gift for the person who has just begun golfing.

Our Review:

The Medicus dual hinge club has been around for a long time. It has been tried and true. Over the years it has been championed by many professional golfers. When it come, you will notice the strong manufacturing and solid feel. You can actually hit golf balls with the Medicus, which is a definite plus. Most training aids do not allow you to do this.

There are different clubs you can use depending on what you want to improve. For example, they have a 7 iron, 5 iron, and driver. If you want to improve your driver play, you can use the Medicus driver. However, the best solution may be to use these training aids in the same way you would learn the game: with the shorter clubs first. If you start with the 7 iron, it will be easier to master the swing that the Medicus is trying to get you to do.

The Medicus in Action

When you try out the club, you will notice when and how the dual hinges collapse. The feedback is immediate and it is quite easy to create a slow swing that will not break the hinges. Of course, this is the goal. Mission accomplished! The next step is speeding up your swing and then actually hitting balls. We think this is the best part about having the Medicus with you when you practice. It works for practice swings, full swings, when you swing very hard, and everything in between. Make sure to use it in all of these situations. Also, it’s great to pickup when you are tired. During a practice session, after hitting 40 or 50 balls and you notice your swing getting looser, this is a great time to use the Medicus to re-train your swing. We found that this is a fantastic use of the Medicus because it will help you identify swing flaws that you revert to time and time again. Eventually, we can see the Medicus training these swing flaws out of you.

Conclusion

Overall, the Medicus dual hinged club is a very useful swing training aid. We found it well made, consistent, and very helpful when eliminating mistakes in the golf swing. This is one of the training aids that we recommend strongly. It is rated 4.5/5 on Amazon and makes it to the top of our recommended trainer list.
